As usual with Pod, when it rains it pours and when it's drought well, well we do that pretty good too. But when the drought breaks we deliver! We are super proud to present the culmination of many months hard work on the part of our artist friends Glenn Smith and Ross Radiation and give you the film clip [HD on youtube] to our tune from our new album "Liar". It's dead sexy isn't it?

Further, the vinyl is finally getting a right good pressing. We'll post some samples and package deals up soon, but beware this will be super limited and not to mention super awesome as more of the great artwork you can see in the clip is included not only on the cover of the vinyl but pressed into the acetate itself. None more brutal.

We're also playing our first ever New Zealand tour in June with our great friends Looking Glass right after DD and Lach Looking Glass get back from Roadburn and the Sleep reunion shows in Holland and England this European spring (bastards!). Anyway, there's some talk of an Aussie tour leading up to that so I'll be updating the site more regularly from now on as we gear up for a brutal winter.

Well, we've had a long battle but apparently we're on the way now. Due to circumstances beyond ours and anyones control at our former alleged "distributor", we have FINALLY secured and started getting the new album into stores near you. The wonderful folks at MGM are once again handling our affairs and thanks to some prompt action from them you'll be able to purchase our new album at most stores within the next couple of weeks, and if it's not on the shelves you can ask your firendly local record bar to order it in from MGM for you.

Further, the astoundingly sexy folks at Zenith Records have pledged a spectacular double album vinyl pressing of the record with a gatefold sleeve that really brings artist Glenn Smith's artwork to the big scale and in further ripping work on his behalf, has done an etching straight onto the acetate on the 4th side of the record. Of course Pod People take no responsibility for anyone who actually tries to play the 4th side of the record as it simply will destroy your turntable, that's if our rumbling riffage hasn't done so already.

We've got a couple of shows coming up starting with our jaunt into country NSW at the home of Glenn Smith, Orange NSW. The "Freshly Plucked" festival is a cool mixed bag of bands from all over the country and stylistic spectrum from Butterfingers to Psycroptic. That's on Saturday November 8th at the Orange Function Centre. Speaking of Glenn and co-animation conspirator Ross are in the midst of doing a film clip for us and we're salivating at the thought of seeing Glenn's artwork in motion!

We're finally pulling our proverbial fingers out for some Melbourne action as well with confirmed show with Dread and Clagg at the Tote on December 13th. Possibly another show to add as well, stay tuned to find out more.

So get out and order your copy of Mons Animae Mortuorum today, you'll be glad you did!
